COVID Safety at Independence Color Run

To ensure the safety of all our attendees, volunteers, organisers and performers we are adhering to the SOP as directed by the Ministry of Health.

Volunteers may be asked to provide proof of a negative RAT prior to entering the site.

Should you have any symptoms, including fever, cough, sore throat, respiratory illness, difficulty breathing, loss of taste, we ask you not to come. This also applies for anyone who has come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or someone who has recently returned from overseas and may have contracted the virus.

Your status as a volunteer will not be affected should it be determined that it is unsafe for you to volunteer. However, should you choose not to disclose relevant information, you may risk losing your ability to volunteer for the festival in the future.

Mental Health Statement

We are willing to work with people with well-managed mental health issues. Our current capacity as a volunteer lead organisation is such that we cannot provide the proper levels of care for someone with a serious mental health issue. We also wish to be clear that participating in the festival can be an intense experience and we advise anyone with a mental health issue to work out a special mental health management plan with their current mental health practitioner prior to arriving on site. This plan should be shared with our Medical Director, your Department Head or the Volunteers Manager. It is vital that you speak to us if you are currently managing your mental health so together we can make sure that volunteering is right for you at this time.
